It’s very important to remember the good stuff when things are down..it has been difficult living in the present and enjoying daily life when we are waiting in limbo, living out of suitcases, waiting for our delayed visa for New Zealand..and the worst being it’s 2 degrees here with snow and sleet when we are supposed to have been in 21 degree sunny Auckland by now 🙁
Thank goodness there are fun things to do like participate in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge incorporating photography in music 🙂 I had great fun doing the first Verse of My Favourite Things from Sound of Music, have a look to see why this post was very popular with my readers! I skipped the second verse and here is my post for the third.
Family fun, our travels, exploring old, discovering new, chocolate, wine, dolphins, nature, good times with friends and writing on my blog – all things that make me happy 🙂 Just have to remember these when it feels like time is dragging and we are watching the days go by ever so slowly…fingers crossed to receiving our visas any day now!
Also helps to remember times when we were hot – travels in Dubai and Bangladesh – outdoors fun and nature in one the hottest month of August. I love that our kids have had so much exposure to many cultures, seasons and activities, one of the many perks of having Wanderlust 🙂

Such precious photos for this week’s verse. Thanks.
You did well putting the words of the song to photos. I love the ‘snow on my nose and eyelashes’, an adorable shot.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and I hope you are soon in sunny New Zealand.
Thank you 🙂 I hope we are in New Zealand soon too!
I love the song and your children are adorable.. Very photogenic.. Great shots and post.. Have a happy new week!
Lovely shots! What lucky children to be exposed to traveling the world! Good Luck getting those visas soon!
Great shots of some of your favorite things – that’s such a wonderful song! Hope you get your visas soon.
Im singing along…
Good luck with the visas…
Haha 🙂 thank you!
Such a great life you’re giving your kids and such wonderful, creative memories.
Thanks Elaine 🙂 We feel the same way and it’s always wonderful to get that positive feedback from others like yourself amongst all the doubts, worries and questions that well meaning people impose when they question our lifestyle. It feels right for us, so we will continue while we are still enjoying it as a family!
