One Word Photo Challenge – Scarlet

By selimsraasta@gmail.com · On October 31, 2014

First I  find  One Word Photo Challenge  and the theme is Scarlet, and then I find Ruby Tuesday 🙂 I did one on orange out of compulsion a few weeks ago, I am really starting to enjoy these colour themed travel photography posts!

I started looking for interesting travel pictures depicting red but there were just too many. So I decided to pick one travel journey – a trip to Bangladesh in winter – and chose interesting pictures that is not only linked to this theme, but tells the story of our time in Bangladesh really well.

Even though we have lived in England for 10 years now, Bangladesh will always remain home to us and we look forward to going back sometime in the near future. If you enjoyed this, do check out our other posts on Bangladesh seen through the eyes of Yorkshire children and more!

These are beautiful. And they weave a lovely story of your time in Bangladesh. So much scarlet to be seen 🙂 So glad you’ve shared another post in the One Word Photo Challenge. I’m going to head over to see the next post you mentioned now. 🙂

Really clever idea. The red really pops out of these photos as they tell the story of your journey through Bangladesh.

Lovely post, and I agree that the “red” theme really captures some of the outstanding images of your visit. When I was a kid, I lived in Afghanistan & always loved seeing the colorful trucks in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Even though it often looked like the passengers piled up on top of the truck had a pretty precarious perch!

    • samselim says: November 4, 2014 at 1:21 pm

I want to do a post some point on these passengers sitting on top of trucks, trains and buses! so crazy! Thanks for the positive feedback on my images 🙂
