Shahaar received his first camera from his Biko Chachu when we arrived in Thailand – start of our travels in 2015 – where we spent nearly 3 weeks before making our way to Auckland, New Zealand with 24 hours in Sydney Australia. He got a Canon Digital IXUS 100 IS and after going through the basics of photography along with useful tips from Biko, he began to point and shoot.
He says this is how he wants to get involved in our family blog (as opposed to all my pestering him to write a travel post!) He chose which pictures he wanted to post and wrote (short) captions for them. Am working on him to write more details, but this will have to do for now…I like his minimalistic approach in some of the things he observed throughout our last one month of travelling. His sister is his most willing model for his pictures, along with sleeping Abhik 🙂
Posting this as part of Weekly Photo Challenge: Afloat. That’s how our life is right now, living and travelling around the globe for the next one year, mostly in Oceania and Asia. Did Europe, North America and little bit of Africa (Morocco) past few years. I would love to stay afloat and travel in South America next…let’s see what the future holds in store for us.
Hope you enjoy our 9 year old’s new hobby and his work of ‘art’ …I hope he retains this hobby for years to come!
This is so sweet! It’s wonderful that you are so excited to foster his creativity – and I had to laugh at the “Ugly Ogre” photos!
Fantastic shots! Hope Shahaar keeps it up, looking forward to see more 🙂
