I can’t decide what I loved most about Morocco – the food, the architecture, the colours, our Riad, the people..I think they all meshed into one wonderful experience and has made Marrakech one of the top places we have travelled to this year…we have been to 11 countries in 2014 so that’s saying a lot about how wonderful this city was!
I have started to write about some of our experiences, and here I am taking part in the Weekly Photo Challenge -Angular and Skywards Friday to highlight some of the beautiful Mosques, Palaces and Kasbahs we have been to.

800 Year old Koutoubia Mosque, located about 200 metres west of the city’s the Jemaa El Fna. Lit up at night, you can see its 77m Minaret from most places in the Medina.

Kasbah Mosque is located within Marrakech’s Southern Medina. Very pretty from the outside, turquoise and terracotta colours

Inside Bahia Palace, built in the late 19th century intended to be the greatest palace of its time. The name means “brilliance”
Skywards Friday is hosted by Yogi, Sylvia and Sandy and there are some beautiful photographs of skies you can check out on this site
Great shots, it must have been incredible to visit Marrakech, no wonder it’s one of your favorite places this year. 🙂
It really was an incredible place to visit, we loved it 🙂
