For this Weekly Photo Challenge: Cover Art, I chose to represent an interesting book I read a few years ago, My Life in Orange about the true story of the author Tim Guest and his journey as a child growing up in the Rajneesh movement led by Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
Two images spring to mind when I depict my own version of the cover of this book.
1. Illusions (good or bad) that are created when one blindly follows a journey -be it religion or blindly seeking some kind of enlightenment or knowledge
2. As we head to new destinations and adventures in New Zealand and onwards to Bangladesh, I am aware that my son is not happy about leaving England, his home for the past 9 years, a place where he feels secure and has a sense of belonging. I cannot help but sometimes wonder if we are doing the right thing by following our dreams and passion – I like to think the kids will see it as a great adventure and when older, they will appreciate being exposed to new cultures, lands, and adventures. But remembering this book, I sometimes wonder, are we doing the right thing, pursuing our own dreams? I guess only time will tell!
Linking up with Orange you glad it’s Friday
I love looking through an article that can make people think.
Also, thank you for allowing for me to comment!
