This was taken during one of our autumn walks around Anston woods, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its interesting geology. I wanted to post this as part of Weekly Photo Challenge: Ephemeral
Funnily I was looking through old pictures for a post I wanted to write on our local travels around lovely Derbyshire and Yorkshire. This one caught my eye as I could not remember when or where it was taken. Looking at other pictures helped place the image, but not the memory of it.
I love how it captures the season, the stillness, a moment in time, a walk in the forest.
Beautiful picture – love the carpet of leaves.
Thank you 🙂 I like that description, carpet of leaves!
Ahhh… a walk to remember. Stunning shot.
Thank you 🙂 can’t imagine how I forgot it, need to go back again!
This picture is so amazing! Like something out of a dream!! Oh, how I would love to roam that forest of fallen leaves!!
Thank you 🙂 It was a lovely walk, didn’t get to do it this year which as a shame, but hopefully can go again another year!
